Terms + Conditions
You can cancel your order if we have not started shipping process (= printing your order) yet, which usually happens within 24 hours after you place an order. Once your order is printed on our side, it becomes manual process and it becomes hard to find your order. So, you can’t cancel your order after that point.
We would be very sad if you have to return your order – but we understand that sometimes your situation changes and you just have to do it. If you have to return your order, please contact us within 7 days after the delivery and ship it back to us within 14 days of delivery. Return shipping cost will be your responsibility. We will refund the full price you paid minus our actual shipping cost. We sill issue the refund within 48 hours after we receive your returned goods.
Because of the nature of these items I can’t accept returns for:
- Custom or personalized orders
- Digital downloads
- Items on sale
We are afraid changing your order often ends up our making mistakes. The best way to do it is placing another order, and request to cancel your first order within 24 hours after you placed the first order. Please contact us as soon as possible if you are planning to do this, as your order cannot be cancelled once it is shipped.
Most of orders are shipped within 5 business days. However, depending on our event schedule and where your yarn is stored, it may take as many as 10 business days. Please leave a note when you check out if you want us to expedite shipping your order. We will accommodate it as much as possible.
Shipping Method/Transit Time
If you need your order by a specific date, please contact us for a quote for parcel service with guaranteed delivery time. The shipping time below is for your reference only and not guaranteed.
Canadian customers – If your order contains up to 400 grams of yarn, your order will be shipped with Canada Post as oversized letter. Tracking and insurance are NOT included. Your order will be vacuum packed in order to save on shipping. Please upgrade shipping if you would like to have tracking or you do not want your items vacuum packed. Transit time is typically 5 – 35 business days from shipping date, depending on your location.
If your order contains more than 400 grams of yarn, your order will be shipped with Canada Post, sometimes via Chit Chats Express. Your yarn may be vacuum packed in order to save on shipping. Tracking may be included. Transit time is typically 5 to 35 business days.
For customers in Vancouver area:
Pick up at our studio is available. Please use coupon code: STUDIOPICKUP.
Typically, your order is available on the following Thursday.
US customers – Your order will be shipped with USPS via Chit Chats Express. Tracking is included. Transit time is typically 10 – 20 business days from shipping date, but it may take longer if the order is held at the customs.
International customers: Your order will be shipped with Asendia via Chit Chats Express or Canada Post. Tracking may or may not included, depending on your country (Please contact us for details). Transit time is typically 20 – 75 business days from shipping date, but it may take longer if the order is held at the customs.
Please ask for a quote if your country or your preferred shipping method/option (including insurance) is not listed in the upgrade options.
The customer is responsible for any duty and/or customs taxes.

However, we are not legally bound by such information, descriptions, or images as we cannot guarantee the accuracy of all goods and services we provide. You agree to purchase goods and services from our Site at your own risk.
We reserve the right to modify, reject or cancel your order whenever it becomes necessary. If we cancel your order and have already processed your payment, we will give you a refund equal to the amount you paid. You agree that it is your responsibility to monitor your payment instrument to verify receipt of any refund.
Third Party Goods and Services
Our Site may offer goods and services from third parties. We cannot guarantee the quality or accuracy of goods and services made available by third parties on our Site.
Your subscription automatically renews and you will be automatically billed until we receive notification that you want to cancel the subscription.
To cancel your subscription, please follow these steps: A subscriber needs to request cancellation by 15th of the month in order to cancel the following month's subscription.
We accept the following payment methods on our Site:
- Credit Card; and
When you provide us with your payment information, you authorize our use of and access to the payment instrument you have chosen to use. By providing us with your payment information, you authorize us to charge the amount due to this payment instrument.
If we believe your payment has violated any law or these Terms and Conditions, we reserve the right to cancel or reverse your transaction.
Shipping and Delivery
When you purchase goods from our Site, the goods will be delivered through one of the following methods:
- Standard delivery by Canada Post for Canadian Orders, USPS via Chit Chats Express for US orders, and Ascendia via Chit Chats Express for international orders. Delivery time varies depending on the destination..
Delivery will take place as soon as reasonably possible, depending on the delivery method selected. Delivery times may vary due to unforseen circumstances. Please note that delivery times do not include weekends and statutory holidays.
You will be required to pay delivery charges in addition to the price for the goods you purchase.
If you purchase goods from us for delivery to a destination outside Canada your purchase may be subject to import duties and taxes applied by the destination country. You are responsible for paying any such duties or taxes. Please contact your local customs office for more information before making a purchase. We are not responsible for the payment of any such duties or taxes and are not liable for any failure by you to pay them.
You are required to provide us with a complete and accurate delivery address, including the name of the recipient. We are not liable for the delivery of your goods to the wrong address or wrong person as a result of you providing us with inaccurate or incomplete information.
Refunds for Goods
Refund requests must be made within 14 days after receipt of your goods.
Refunds do not apply to the following goods:
- Custom orders; and
- Sale items.
Refunds for Services
We provide refunds for services sold on our Site as follows:
- Cancellation must be received at least 72 hours before the service.
Returns can be made in person at the following location(s): At our studio on Granville Island.
Returns can be made by mail. To return a good by mail, follow the following procedure:
The returned goods must be in a good, resellable condition. Return postage is customer's responsibility. Refund will be given when the returned goods is received by us.
Consumer Protection Law
Where the Business Practice and Consumer Protection Act, or any other consumer protection legislation in your jurisdiction applies and cannot be excluded, these Terms and Conditions will not limit your legal rights and remedies under that legislation. These Terms and Conditions will be read subject to the mandatory provisions of that legislation. If there is a conflict between these Terms and Conditions and that legislation, the mandatory provisions of the legislation will apply.
Limitation of Liability
Yoriko Oki and our directors, officers, agents, employees, subsidiaries, and affiliates will not be liable for any actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses including legal fees from your use of the Site.
Except where prohibited by law, by using this Site you indemnify and hold harmless Yoriko Oki and our directors, officers, agents, employees, subsidiaries, and affiliates from any actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses including legal fees arising out of your use of our Site or your violation of these Terms and Conditions.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia.
If at any time any of the provisions set forth in these Terms and Conditions are found to be inconsistent or invalid under applicable laws, those provisions will be deemed void and will be removed from these Terms and Conditions.
